I love your writing Ryan. This is very thought provoking, linking scars to stories. I have several scars on one knee that I used to carefully conceal from others. Then one visit the orthopedic surgeon asked if I minded if he made on other scar for treatment. When I said I didn’t mind, he commented that my days as a knee model were over. This was said in jest and I found it very freeing so I stopped trying to hide my scars
